Overview
Echo Odyssey is an educational echocardiography application. We designed the app to minimize data collection. You can use the curriculum, knowledge checks, bookmarks, reading tools, and minimum-study checklist without creating an account.
Information stored on your device
The app may store the following information locally on your iPhone or iPad:
- Learning-card completion and curriculum progress
- Bookmarks and your most recent learning position
- Reading preferences, appearance, speech speed, and accessibility choices
- A learner name or professional title that you voluntarily enter for an on-device certificate
This information is used only to provide app features and personalize your learning experience on the device.
Apple Watch companion
When you use the Apple Watch companion, Echo Odyssey transfers minimum-study checklist content and checklist progress between your paired Apple devices using Apple system frameworks. The Watch companion is not intended to display the full curriculum or patient information.
What we do not collect
- No account credentials or social sign-in information
- No patient records, health data, clinical images, or personally identifiable patient information
- No precise location data
- No advertising identifier or cross-app tracking data
- No analytics or third-party advertising data in the current release
Educational media
Echo Odyssey contains educational illustrations, reference images, and de-identified teaching media. Some illustrations are AI-assisted or schematic. They are provided for explanation and must not be interpreted as patient-specific diagnostic images.
Data sharing and sale
We do not sell personal information. Because the current release does not operate user accounts or a cloud learning profile, we do not share a personal learning profile with advertisers or data brokers.
Children’s privacy
Echo Odyssey is intended for adult learners and healthcare professionals. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Clinical and educational limitation
The app is an educational resource, not a medical device. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or emergency guidance and does not replace accredited training, local protocols, clinical judgment, or a complete diagnostic examination.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when app capabilities or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the current version.
